The Flow and ERP integration
FlowOpt is a multi lingual SaaS or on-premise solution, which can be flexibly adapted and integrated in real-time with any ERP system. If your company does not have an ERP system or if the existing system is insufficient or outdated, we recommend Odoo for the fulfillment of the missing functionality.
Smarter Planning
Does your company produce custom products? Make to order? In small quantities? Unique parts? In such a high mix/low volume environment, planning is a lot more complex than in a company that produces in series. It is quite a challenge to have insight into the real available capacity on the shop floor and to keep an overview. Your orders are therefore often at risk of being delayed.
The classical resource planning solutions don’t show the real time situation and require a lot of work to change the planning when material supply has been delayed or the customer delivery date changes. You also don’t want to create work in process in your factory, which takes space and working capital.
The solution? A different way of planning and execution, which is not focusing or the optimal resource allocation, but on the optimal process execution flow.
The limits of ERP in make-to-order
If you mainly make customized products in very small runs, you probably already have experienced the limitations in terms of planning and execution. Resource Planning requires a lot of detail which is very hard to obtain. Because we concentrate on the flow, a lot less detail is required.
Order (date) changes
are in many cases difficult to adapt in your ERP system’s planning and therefor
not or only partly implemented, because you will have to re-schedule all the non-started
sub-processes. The consequence? Issues on the shop floor, because your operators
do not have an overview and no longer know which order has to be executed first.

FlowOpt has been developed as a specific solution to support planning and execution for high mix/low volume production companies.
FlowOpt is focused on optimizing the workflows in your company and starting the execution of your orders as late as possible, taking into account the availability of sufficient capacity (time and space)in the subsequent work centers so that orders will be executed with a minimum of waiting time and work in process.
FlowOpt is a planning and execution system with all required functionalities to support a paperless shopfloor and strong in-/external communication capabilities. It does not support sales and materials management, financial management and other solutions that you will find in an ERP system. We provide full integration with ERP systems and particularly with Odoo.
FlowOpt also offers you the possibility to simulate order delivery dates based on the actual capacity allocations and temporarily reserve capacity for forecasts or on customer request. You will always see the impact of customer request, date changes and management decisions.
